About the event
Angry about the state of the world? At the human suffering, colonialism, climate chaos, and war that your university profits from while continuing to raise your tuition costs? Upset that Mount Allison invests millions in the fossil fuel industry and in arms manufacturing? It is time to fight back.
Join Mount Allison student organizers on Friday, March 27th at 12:30 pm. Meet outside the library at 12:20. Signs are encouraged and we will be able to provide some as well. There will be a brief introduction and teaching of chants at the library and then the protest will proceed to Centennial hall. There will be opportunities for the sharing of speeches, thoughts, poems, songs, etc.
Demands:
Affordable tuition by ending the discriminatory tuition fees paid by international students and cutting all tuition by 20%, through increased government funding.
Divestment from fossil fuels, arms and weapons manufacturing, entities complicit in genocide,…
